Joe
Michel hails from a family of 11 siblings. Joe is the 7th
child born by Simone and Etienne Michel on the Island of
Haiti. He is a multi-talented musician. He plays the guitar
and the bass and is a singer/song writer, composer and
producer. He started playing the guitar in 1978, performing
in the circular world.
He accepted the Lord in 1982 which led him to his calling
the ministry of praise and worship. His first band was The
Messengers of God, he also started playing the guitar and
leading God’s people in worship at a local Church. In 1984
he went solo ministering throughout the community blessing
and edifying God’s people. The Lord then inspired Joe to
start a praise and worship ministry named “Golden Light.” He
continued to play guitar and wrote many blessed songs for
Golden Light. Songs like ‘Pawol Lá’, ‘Nan Jezu’, ‘Nan
prezans oú’, to name a few. He has been a member of “Golden
Light” for 21 years and still working at the present time
with the ministry. Joe Michel is also an in-depth teacher of
the Word of God, especially in the area of worship and
praise. He has taught and ministered in many praise and
worship conferences throughout the New York and also in the
Island of Haiti with his church. Joe Michel is married and
his wife Rose Michel are both praise and worship leaders at
Christian community Alliance Church, under the leadership of
the overseer Pastor Georges Defay. Joe Michel and his wife
reside in Brooklyn with their 2 daughters Norah and Sarah
Michel.
